Reptiles and Amphibians are collectively referred to as Herps. The act of going into the field to photograph or look for Reptiles and Amphibians is called herping. The term came from Herpetology, the study of Reptiles and Amphibians. Most of the closeup shots were taken with a regular macro lens. The photos showing a portion of the animal’s environment were taken with a wide-angle zoom lens.
