These were the first spiders that I saw emerge in early spring. I find their angular “flat top” head very interesting and wanted to showcase it with a side-view focus stack. These spiders aren’t hard to photography because they prefer to sit completely still. Even if poked,  they run for a bit and then come to a complete stop. I used the opportunity to shoot a fairly deep stack using my set of 3 extension tubes on my 24mm. Using extension tubes with a reversed lens produces outstanding image quality. I try to avoid using them with regular mount lenses because the IQ deteriorates, particularly with my Nikon 105mm macro.  running crab spider helicon 24mm 36tube 43stack
